Hey Reader, Oh dear procrastination. We all know it and we all do it from time to time! Am I right?! Procrastination into obliteration! DON'T!!!!! That's pretty much the worst case scenario. I gotta say, I got a lot better at not procrastinating - but still, nobody is perfect! Best thing is to do the thing you seriously don't wanna do first thing in the morning. Because what is done early is done for the rest of the day! The kind of procrastination everyone probably did and remembers is this one: As a school kid, doing homework on Sunday evening - yep, best way to completely destroy the remainder of the weekend. And to destroy your mood as well... Another thing we all did for sure: school and college projects, doing them super last minute to make sure we max out the total stress and overwhelm factor. Sleepless nights and horrible moods and in the worst case even bad grades were the consequence. Talking about overwhelm, that is actually the root cause of procrastination - and perfectionism. Hmm, a very lethal combo if you put both of it together. This combo makes sure you don't get anything done and that your mood is destroyed for the rest of the day as well. Does anyone freaking want that?! Hell no, this is a straight no! Not now and not ever again. See, I learned from my mistakes of the past at least.
I barely procrastinate these days and that made my life a whole lot better and less complicated for sure. Moral of the story is that you can't think your way out of procrastination - you have to take ACTION! Also, I will be working on a productivity thingy (I'll keep you posted once it's online for sale) to really send good old procrastination to the place it belongs - to fucking hell! Are you still procrastinating today or not? xoxo Phyllis |
