Hey Reader, you often catch your mind spinning a loop with crazy thoughts - and it's just so fucking hard to stop this loop? Yeah, reminds me of those coding classes with loops I was forced to take in college! No fun! If you said yes here, then you know how I feel on most days as well π€·ββοΈπ³ It's awesome to have a well-functioning brain - but once in a while, that damn thing can turn you absolutely nuts! You know the feeling of waking up at 3 am, creating your worst-case scenarios in your head? The good thing is, most of them are very unlikely to happen. Our brain is just extremely talented at getting super creative here. Yeah, creativity is great - but here it's gone wrong creating horror stories in the middle of the night. But at least there are some super useful tools to calm down a nervous mind. What works best for me is writing in the morning. Not on paper though - I tried that and my handwriting drives me as crazy as my hyperactive brain does. Thank goodness that the internet came up with a solution for a millennial like me! There's this website called 750words.com, and that's where I do my morning journaling. I started about 6 weeks ago, and nothing has brought me so much clarity or helped ease my anxiety like this little writing habit. Check it out yourself and see if it's useful for you too. I thought the same thing - "Okay, I'll give it a shot", because I heard so many people raving about it. Et voilΓ‘, now I'm one of them as well. Another thing that helps a lot is: meditation. Just 15 minutes per day does the trick. It's amazing how those little tweaks in the morning can already set you up for a smoother, better day! Also - keep your eyes open! I love meditations so much that I wanna record and sell my own ones soon. I'm so excited π§ββοΈ What are your ways do stop overthinking? Tell me your favorite one π₯³ xoxo, Phyllis β β β |
