Namaste Reader, What about meditating in the morning? Or starting your day with a run at 6 am no matter how cold, dark and rainy it is? Cutting out dairy, sugar, meat and whatever gets a bad rep these days in the media and living on green smoothies instead?! Does this sound like you? Are we all trying to find that hyped thing called inner peace in order to thrive π€·ββοΈπ³ And yes, life is for sure more fun when feeling some kind of balance and inner peace than living the nightmare of hormones and moods being totally outta whack! But do you have to overcomplicate your life in order to get there? I don't think so! Yea, of course - we're all wired differently and there is no cookie-cutter-fix working for each one of us. But I believe a few simple things can already be super beneficial, like... 1.) getting enough sleep every night 2.) eating nourishing food at least 3 times a day 3.) setting boundaries and learning to say no I'd say these are the most basic things to start with. Of course adding stuff like meditation, working out etc. can be a big bonus as well if that's your jam! Living on junk food and chugging down several glasses of wine or beer every night might be counterproductive though! πΊππ Our sleep and what we eat has a direct effect on our hormones, that's why those ones are non-negotiables for the outcome of feeling well. I believe inner peace is less about willpower but more about biology - and here it starts pretty simply; with sleep, food and boundary setting. I'm sick of wellness gurus who overcomplicate things! And especially in the nutrition world, where often very IMHO totally unhealthy diet fads get promoted - even though it can all be way simpler. Don't eat anything your grandparents wouldn't have recognized as food and hey, you're already on a good path! What's your favorite way to unwind? A walk in nature? Meditating? A workout? Hit reply and share with me! I'm always happy to learn more about you! xoxo Phyllis |
